Panel Handle Orienter (PHO)
Overview
The Panel Handle Orienter (PHO) provides secondary orientation so that a desired panel or handle on a container faces in a certain direction.
Containers are timed into infeed starwheels via a helix. Containers are positioned and scanned on platforms that, when signaled, can rotate 180 degrees. Overhead cams positively support containers and keep them stable during orientation.
Dependent on the application, container sensing can range from simple photo-electric sensors to high definition camera systems.
