Omega Design expects to dominate the conversation at this year's Pack Expo in Las Vegas, NV (Sept 28-30, 2015) with a booth-packed debut of industry-leading equipment. Further, Omega's staff shall work alongside a collaborative, two-armed, humanoid robot named Baxter. Baxter will serve a functional role to case pack serialized bottles and present them to an overhead inspection camera.
Baxter will be interacting with Omega's all-new Intelli-Pac, a premier serialized case packing solution. The Intelli-Pac features an integrated semi-auto case labeler, case former and case taper and was built on a fully mobile, single piece "uni-frame". The serialized codes are managed by an integrated Serialized Data Management System (SDMS).
In addition, Baxter will help raise awareness of the potential role of collaborative robots within the packaging industry. Baxter was manufactured by Rethink Robotics and is part of Omega's workforce development initiative with Chester County Intermediate Unit (CCIU) and Penn State University, Great Valley.
Omega will be located in Booth #C-4409.
