Omega's new manual Intelli-Pac and Intelli-Stack serialization modules will be on display in SYSTECH'S BOOTH (#1630) at the Interphex Exhibition to be held at the Javits Center in New York City from April 26-28, 2016.

Omega Design has partnered with Systech UniSolve to offer complete, pre-configured, rapid deployment solutions with a serialized data management system, specifically targeting pharma companies who need to reach their 2017 DSCSA serialization requirements.

Fast Track Serialization - Open House Recap

Omega Design and Systech™ UniSolve™, co-hosted its Fast Track Open House on February 8-9, 2016. The event was held on Omega's manufacturing floor in Exton, Pa and highlighted the partnership's pre-configured, rapid deployment serialization solutions.

The Fast Track designs are a subset of Omega's serialization modules. These designs have the same quality, value, and functionality, but are restricted to agreed-upon Omega/Systech configurations.  The Fast Track designs specifically target pharma companies who need to reach their 2017 DSCSA serialization requirements.  Omega continues to offer a Custom Configuration Program to address customer needs for customized serialization solutions.

Some of the equipment that was being demoed during the event:

  • Intelli-Code: For in-line carton laser or thermal ink jet coding, serialization and verification
  • Intelli-Pac: For manual case packing and aggregation, with label printing and application
  • Intelli-Stack: For automatic stacking, case packing and aggregation

Must Read: A Humanoid Robot and Omega's New Intelli-Pac are Part of a Plan to Take Over Pack Expo 2015

Omega Design expects to dominate the conversation at this year's Pack Expo in Las Vegas, NV (Sept 28-30, 2015) with a booth-packed debut of industry-leading equipment. Further, Omega's staff shall work alongside a collaborative, two-armed, humanoid robot named Baxter.  Baxter will serve a functional role to case pack serialized bottles and present them to an overhead inspection camera.

Baxter will be interacting with Omega's all-new Intelli-Pac, a premier serialized case packing solution. The Intelli-Pac features an integrated semi-auto case labeler, case former and case taper and was built on a fully mobile, single piece "uni-frame". The serialized codes are managed by an integrated Serialized Data Management System (SDMS).

In addition, Baxter will help raise awareness of the potential role of collaborative robots within the packaging industry. Baxter was manufactured by Rethink Robotics and is part of Omega's workforce development initiative with Chester County Intermediate Unit (CCIU) and Penn State University, Great Valley.

Omega will be located in Booth #C-4409.
